The Mathewson Family Counseling Center at STEP2
On Tuesday, October 11th, 2011, STEP2 opened its doors of the Mathewson Family Counseling Center to our community. Due to the increased methamphetamine and other substance abuse among women in particular, STEP2 launched a capital campaign in 2007 to expand its treatment and support facilities to provide additional services for families in need.
To date, STEP2 has raised most of the $4 million goal. Over the next couple of months, we are looking to raise the remaining $500,000 for completion and start an endowement to further secure STEP2’s history in the community. Thanks to the support of many area businesses, foundations and donors, our dream of providing a welcoming center that can assist more women and their children to overcome substance abuse is upon us.
